Beekeeping & Beyond

Fascinated by bees?

Here’s your opportunity to become a backyard beekeeper!

Steve Demkowski, owner of  Willow Glen Honey and resident beekeeper at Happy Hollow Park & Zoo is offering beekeeping workshops throughout the year. The cost is $50 per workshop and 100% of the proceeds goes to pollinator conservation initiatives at Happy Hollow Park & Zoo.

Beekeeping & Beyond Workshops are an opportunity to learn about bees in an intimate, hands-on class setting. Workshops take place at Happy Hollow’s own honey-making apiary & fees are a donation that benefit pollinator conservation efforts. This is a 2-hour, hands-on workshop. Protective equipment is required and you may bring your own or borrow all needed supplies. Each workshop focuses on new skills.
